Yes, what you're thinking about is England's qualifier against Greece in 2001. All England needed was a draw to confirm their place in the 2002 World Cup, and with home advantage at Old Trafford, David Beckham in the team, and a history of giving Greece a thrashing whenever they played, it seemed a formality. However Otto Riehagel, Greece's manager, was a German who would have loved to dent England's qualification hopes, and he nearly did just that. With Greece 2-1 up at full time, it was a David Beckham free kick in added time which spared England's blushes and put them through to the 2002 World Cup.

Maybe they watched Soccer Aid and saw Frank on the England bench???

Doubt they could tempt 'Arry, but I'd say Tuchel night be what they need - someone who could put some steel into them, but I'm wondering if Tuchel will be a little reluctant to step back in the PL management after hiow things went with Chelsea for him.

I'm sceptical that Tuchel would publicly turn down the Man Utd job, purely so he could go for Burnley instead...

Unfortunately, it seems like slim pickings for top managerial targets for Man Utd atm - I did hear rumours circulating that there was a some interest in Gareth Southgate, which I find slightly off putting - I think he's as dull as dish water and plays some pretty boring football when in charge of a team imo.

Carlo Ancelotti would've been my choice but it looks unlikely since he's just won the Champions League against a very good Borussia Dortmund and also FIFA's Club World Cup. Other names like Zinedine Zidane are quite intriguing prospects, also Mauricio Pochettino is possibly a gamble but one never knows, perhaps he could be a success? - I think another season under Ten Hag will be no different than the last season and some of his signings, since his arrival, have been utterly woeful imo.

Poch could be a sucessful i mean christ he took that chelsea team to 6th and if the season had been a few weeks earlier might have been top 4

i reckon they will keep him till about oct or nov and if he starts like he did last season easy to sack him then
