England's Tour of Australia - Ashes, ODIs and T20s 13/14

I recall a certain cricketer did the same thing a couple of years ago and read a very good book on how he got through it. I wish Trott the very best of luck kin dealing with his problems.

^ I read that book as well babelover. It was fascinating and gave me an understanding into this horrible condition and the fact it is much more than just "manning up" as some believe. I also wish Trott well on his path to recovery. Given the high pressure environment of the test arena these days I doubt he will be the last player to suffer from this.

a lot of them suffer from Stress and depression freddie flintoff did a great documentry on it think was last year steve harmison also suffered with it was Marcus Trescothick who went home sevrel times or didnt go on long tours

pity we cant call up adam hollioake doubt the aussie team would be trying to threaten to break his body parts as he is now a cage fighter in Australia

This just gets better and better! Am seriously worried this tour could turn in to the 2006 debacle.

I think long gone are the long winter tours and I think Trescothick's book show how lonely and hard a cricketer's life is abroad compared to being at home.

Pietersen's got too much confidence already. He was out twice in the last match to over confident shots.

I heard Michael Vaughan back-tracking on the radio this morning after he had no problem lambasting Trott the previous day.

Trott's done the right thing for himself & the team,hope we get the old Trott back this summer.A fresh face in the batting line-up could give England the boost they need.Root will more than likely move up to No.3 otherwise Bell will have to have another crack at it.Ballance for me at 6 or Stokes to give another bowling option.

It has been stated that Jonathan Trott has a LONG TERM stressed condition.
Surely England after having similar experiences with Trescothick and Yardy, someone should have taken the decision a lot earlier to leave him at home to recover. I get the impression that they would have done if the tour was elsewhere, but because its the Ashes he was too important for the team. WRONG, WRONG, WRONG. The hierarchy and medical advisers should know better these days.
My best wishes to him for a proper recovery, in whatever time scale it takes' there is simply no need rush it.

Clarke been fined 20% of his match fees for comments made to Jimmy Anderson after the match.

It seems Like thay want to win at any cost.
