Really enjoying this game, great graphics and gameplay. The story am really enoying along with the music in the game.

Few little problems I have with the game one is that sometimes the textures on things don’t load up properly till you get really close which should have been fixed easily. Secondly if you die you lose half your money now I know your supposed to bank the money you collect but lose half of anything you have is a bit much. Wish you were allowed to redo or restart a mission which you can’t do and wish you could carry more weapons. With the texture issues I have no idea if this is the case on the PS4 Pro or Xbox One X.

The good

I like the story, the game play I love using the silencer on the hand gun sneaking in stealth and taking them out one by one and the damage and sound the guns on impact. The driving is pretty good too the same old issues with people jumping in front of your car lol.
Plus there’s so much to do in the game really enjoying it.

I think the whole lose money when you die thing was also one of the big annoyances in the GTA games as well (where you restart outside the hospital).The are a few niggles with the game like the occasional dopey enemy AI,the occasional same-old same-old levels & the racist elements in the game is at times a bit close to the knuckle.

Tbh I did like the more mundane elements in the game like collecting the Playboy magazines (& looking at the centrefold pics) & hacking into the phone connection boxes & listening into the phone conversations before planning my attack on the building.If you are taking on a gang near the underground sewers or by the docks or swamps & you need to dispatch a dead body simply throw it into the water & watch the crocodiles jump out the water & eat the remains (& the enemies will never see/find the body of their fallen comrade) was a neat touch.

I did like notion in the game that there are certain paths you can take as Vincent Clay as you liberate towns & city from the stranglehold of certain Mafia bosses (you can opt to kill them or recruit them as informers).In turn you can choose from your 3 closest allies on who runs those areas & without giving to much away near the end of the game you can opt to play out Lincoln as a good guy or as a bad guy turning him into a sort of Walter White character from Breaking Bad.

Oh & the Mafia 3 game is now a free August game for PS Plus subscribers (as is the pretty good Dead by Daylight game).

PES 2019 PS4 Demo

Played it a couple times and really enjoying it.

Only realized the demo was out with Kal-El's recommendation above & so I've played about 10 matches both against the computer & against a couple of footie mates & first impressions were ok.Okay it's only a demo but for me the differences between PES 2019 & 2018 are more cosmetically than actual changes to the gameplay.Player likenesses have been updated with some looking quite convincing (Messi doesn't have his dyed bleach-blonde locks this time round) & the crowd look a lot more real instead of looking like a creation from Minecraft.

I did give Fifa 18 a dusting down & played about 4 games to draw comparisons between the two games & I found the main weaknesses of Fifa 18 (shocking defending poor goalkeepers,poor refereeing regarding fouling,dubious offside & penalty decisions & passing & general AI of team-mates) were probably PES 2019's strong points.The passing feels a lot crisper & on point compared to Fifa & team-mates use their own initiatives when running into spaces instead of headless chickens in Fifa.Goalkeepers are a lot better here & thus makes scoring more difficult than Fifa meaning that certain games may require grinding out low scoring results which makes matches a lot more tense.

As I say the demo is still an early look at PES 2019 but seeing that the game is released in a few weeks any dramatic changes the game may need might have to come in the form of a patch as it's probably too late to change anything now.In truth gameplay wise PES 2019 seems as though it has only had a few minor tweaks & pretty much plays like PES 2018.Changes that I would have liked to have seen made like better dribbling skills on the ball to get past players & with faster players having the ability to ghost past defenders just doesn't look like it's there.In fact players seem like they have very little strength on the ball (they are too easily knocked off the ball).

As someone who has bought every yearly edition of PES (even when the game used to be called International Superstar Soccer or ISS) I'm on the fence so far with regards to getting PES 2019 (at the end of the month) as from what I've played so far it doesn't differ enough from last years game & coupled with the fact with the loss of Champions League in the game & unofficial team names again are big sticking points.But more importantly does the game have a game mode to properly rival Fifa's Ultimate Team fingers crossed it has but if not it's probably a no-no from me.

Onrush (PS4);

I'm always dubious about buying games that a mere month or two after release plummet in price but I was given recommendation on this game by a workmate (I did pick this game up for £15 brand new on Ebay).In essence this racing game is a cross between Burnout & Motorstorm where you race in teams (either with friends or with computer AI) against other teams where the aim isn't to finish 1st in the quickest time but to smash into opponents & trash their vehicles in order to get bonus points & the team with the most bonus points wins the event.You have a choice of vehicles to race in from motor bikes to dune buggies & stock cars but to win events you ideally have to work as a team to take out opponents & win challenges/ events.

The variety of race tracks are fun to compete in with various settings from forests to mountains to wastelands with a great selection of rock,punk & trance music bellowing out in the back ground.In all this is a pretty fun game to play in short bursts & taking out opponents by knocking them into the scenery for a takedown smash can be satisfying & can create rivalry with opponents it isn't quite as fun as Burnout Revenge.

A pretty good game overall that offers a real sense of speed when racing only mired by the presence of the dreaded loot-boxes.7/10.

Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection

My biggest problem with all the games are the cheap AI, it was designed to be like this in arcade cheap and hard simply for you to pump in more credits into the machine the problem is it doesn’t translate well when on a home console. For example i was playing Hyper Fighting and Guile Beat me by doing a sonic boom and Flash kick at the same time only is it impossible for a human to do but there both charge moves, then there’s the AI reading button inputs. There still fun games buy AI is pretty bad.

Really enjoyed this indie puzzle I believe it can be found on steam too.

Yokus Island Express Nintendo Switch Demo

What a refreshing game, great graphics, music and controls. It’s a platform/Puzzle game with pinball elements, highly recommend the demo.
