RE: Upcoming Film Trailers
I tried reading Dune a couple of months ago, managed to read half of it but put it down. I thought it was hokey and up itself. The trailer for this film looks decent because however hokey I thought the book was (or at least half of it), I can see why it might work on the biggest screen. Problem is in the past 50 years or whenever Dune was released, we've had the Star Wars, Blade Runner and Avatar's in our faces. Dune's DNA is in those types of sci-films so there nothing new to show. Kind of like when Disney's John Carter flopped a few years ago. Yeah it may have influenced things like Superman, but who cares?
Also I feel Denis Villneuve thinks he's a better film-maker than he actually is.

RE: Upcoming Film Trailers
Blade Runner 2049 was ridiculously overlong. Some films can justify a long runtime, I didn't see that with 2049 though. Even Ridley Scott thought so.
