A great idea.
At present you have to be already logged in to see the button. I think it should be made the same as the reply button, ie visible even if not logged in. Then when you click it, it asks you to log in if not already logged in.
I was not logged in this morning and posted a thank you post to someone because there was no thankyou button visible. It only became visible after logging on and post had already been sent.

OK understood. However, I don't think this is a problem, as the future direction of the forum will probably be to show less to guests anyway. Therefore, it may be that it's not a problem for those not logged in to not be able to see the thank you button, as in the future if they are not logged in they might not be able to see the content either.
