Awful news. RIP Gary

Shocking news, RIP Gary.

Sad news, thoughts are with his family at this terrible time.

He was only on Football Focus yesterday lunchtime and had been in Brussels during the week to arrange the 2014 World Cup qualifiers. He wasn't the wild partying sort and had been happily married for 15 years.

Just don't know what to make of this.......

Totally shocked about the death of Gary Speed cant believe he was only on Football Focus yesterday, if its true that he took his own life it just goes to show depression cant hit anybody, hope anyone out there suffering from depression will seek help and not keep their troubles to themselves

Depression is a very dangerous thing. All the more shocking that he was on football focus on Saturday, and none of us had any idea the turmoil he must have been going through. Very, very sad.

The Swansea vs Aston Villa game still goes ahead. I'm sure they'll be a tribute of some sorts before the game. Football must understandably take a back seat in times of tragedy.

I genuinely can't believe this. A terrific player and becoming a fine manager, he turned the Welsh side around. He did a terrific job for my club Bolton when he was here and was hugely respected by everyone at the club. Just desperately sad news and it goes to show that however much somebody is in the public eye you never really know what's going on in their heads.
RIP Speedo.
