The 2012 Paralympics

Well the first day has been something else, my jaw was on the floor watching the track cycling. Unbelievable commitment from everyone.

I am fucking embarassed to say i cannot swim. I have no excuse these guys are unbelieveable totally hooked!!

the last leg with adam hills was funny.

did watch some highlights. the gb team are the top team in both olympic and paralympic. the swimmers are not bad either. there was something like 13 world records broken in the pool and in the pleasure dome.

the ones will i be definitely watching are ellie simmonds, oscar prestorious (sorry for the spelling if wrong), lee pearson in the dressage is only needs 3 golds to surpass dave roberts and tanni grey-thompson as the most golds for british paralympians, sir lee?.

the c4 titles are fantastic. the morning show is abit rubbish, the morning/afternoon section with jonathan edwards is ok but edwards is much better pundit and commenator than a presenter, the evening section with clare balding and ade adeptian (sorry if wrong) was good both excellent presenters, ade was british wheelchair basketball for the paralympics.

sarah storey beating 2 cyclists just under half distance and breaking the world record in the heat. the gb disabled cycling team have the same kit, equipment and coaching has hoy, pendelton, king, kenny etc get at manchester and also they train together each afternoon.

there will be more golds tomorrow (friday) has the athletics start.

Well, the inevitable has happened...

The BBC reported this morning that the French have accused us of "cheating" in the Paralympics...

Apparently, the wheels on our wheelchairs are "too round", and our athletes would not have won half the number of medals if they'd used the same equipment as the other teams, etc.

The French truly are the spoilt brats of Europe.

It's disgusting mate, calling others cheats because you can't compete with them is the lowest of the low...and how the fuck can a wheel be too round. They need to improve their funding/training/equipment and shut up complaining.

oscar pistorius mite regret the interview he did after the 200 metres 2nite! he has alot of respect from people around the world but at the minute he's looking like a sore loser! sad to hear!

I dont know he might have a point if the brazillian had been using bigger blades then he would have an unfair stride length advantage not saying if its right but would be good to check it out

Although i wouldnt have said it on live tv

surely would be done after the race bit like the F1 boys do or the cycling where the bikes are scrutineered

yeah i agree mate but when they asked the brazilian after the race he did say he had the same blades and he had not changed them and they have been checked as well! if he has cheated then fair enough but if they have checked again and everythings ok then i think he will have to apologise!

pistorius said the brazilian who beat him had ROUNDER blades
