Norway 4-0 Thailand

Teams like Scotland and Italy who missed out after finishing second in their qualifying group and then had to navigate two playoff rounds in an attempt to qualify for World Cup would probably favour moving to 32 teams Looking at how bad Thailand and Ivory Coast are they will be even more aggreviated that they are not there.

Currently 4-0 to Germany after half a hour but could easily be 10-0 if Germany had taken their chances

Germany 10-0 Ivory Coast

I haven't seen any of this tournament yet, but I've just found out that every match is being shown live by the BBC. I saw some of the women's football in the 2012 Olympics and the matches were good, so I'm glad the World Cup's getting full TV coverage.

I can see it now Germany being winners of both the men's & women's World Cups
then it'll be onto Rio for the Gold Medal double..
At this rate they'll achieve global domination quicker than England can win a World cup again!!

Sweden and Nigeria draw 3-3. Very good game, epic even, first one I've seen in this competition, but if things carry on like this it could be better than the men's world cup! USA and Australia just starting in the same group.

USA overcame Australia 3-1 last night although the game was closer than the scoreline suggests. This group (D) could well turn out to be the most intriguing one in the tournament.

In Group C yesterday reigning champions Japan beat Switzerland 1-0 in a very closely fought game, while in contrast Cameroon beat Ecuador 6-0. England's group (F) starts today.
