A truly overrated actress, wooden in everything, including GoT. Alicia Vikander was perfect as a modern Lara Croft, this I'm afraid, is a big downgrade. Just my opinion of course.

I think they should have took a risk on a relative unknown, somebody with charm as well as grace, as that is needed for the character.

The problem is they were never gonna cast her in the series, plus MGM lost the rights to the franchise so the planned sequel was cancelled, Vikander left and the rights went back to the original game developers then Amazon Prime video bought the franchise rights.

Yeah, I knew that about Vikander and MGM, I was gutted the sequel got binned off. She's a great actress and I bought her as Lara Croft, much more than Jolie.

I'm not seeing the Lara Croft in her either. "Oh shes English, perfect" Probably some Yank TV Exec.

I see that Thomas Jane has been signed on to Strange New Worlds as McCoy aka Bones. I think that is great casting, I've liked him in a lot of things, but in particular as Miller in The Expanse (one of the best sci-fi shows ever made imo). He should be a great Bones, so I really do hope we get Star Trek: Year One, after STW ends.
