What TV show did you last watch?

The Orville Ep 11 “Dimensions” Season 1.

Training Day The Series 1 Ep 1 & 2;

Set 15 years after the excellent Training Day film (starring Denzel Washington & Ethan Hawke) the series centers around rookie cop Kyle Craig (Justin Cornwell) at the LAPD who is partnered with old grizzled Detective Frank Roarke (Bill Paxton) whose own brand of justice is to shoot first & ask questions later.The lovely Julie Benz (Dexter;series) pops up as a brothel owner & Roarke's love interest (I wonder if he pays her).
It just so happens that Roarke worked with Kyle's father in the Department back in the day before he was killed on duty & Kyle digs around trying to find out what really happened on that fateful day.

The film was such an iconic classic that opting for a series of the same name was a tough act to follow & whilst I'm only 2 episodes in the series just doesn't have the charm (& Denzel Washington) of the film.The series isn't bad so far but even with the late,great Bill Paxton (who is the stand-out star of the show) the series struggles against the likes of Lethal Weapon,Blindspot,NCIS etc & other cop shows of that ilk.

The series got canned at the end of the first series (13 episodes) & was said to be one of Bill Paxton's last starring roles before he passed away in Feb 2017.
