RE: UFC
Akiyama is a step up from the fight Bisping was gonna have, Paul Sass, Sass has one hell of a submission record 7 triangle chokes in a row, maybe a future prospect, but a UFC debut against Bisping ummm... Looking at Akiyama's fight with Leben & his style it's a fight that Bisping will love, should be a good one, if Bisbing wins then maybe a rematch with the new & improved Leben, the winner of which maybe close to a fight with whoever is the champ???

RE: UFC
Velasquez vs. Lesnar is set for UFC 121.

The biggest question in the Lesnar/Velasquez fight isn't how Lesnar will handle Velasquez. The question is, how will Velasquez handle Lesnar? Velasquez absolutely dominated Cheick Kongo and Ben Rothwell. But, neither of those guys had an answer for his wrestling. Brock Lesnar comes from an identical Amateur Wrestling background, so Velasquez (likely) can't manhandle Lesnar. This is the first time that Velasquez will fight someone with a high caliber of wrestling.

RE: UFC
to be honest i dont think rampage has anything else on his mind apart from rashad evens...
as for bisping i dont think he's ready yet, physically he has the skill set to trouble almost any1, mentally to me he doesn't have the mindset, that single focus that will make him a champ.
he gives to much respect in the ring to his opponents and this does show in his fights. he needs heavier striking and to plant himself to bang more often. also has to make the transition to and from being planted naturally, at the moment you can see him thinking about it. i do like mike but at the moment i dont see him as a champ or contender atm.

RE: UFC
Yeah i agree Hexit that he wants to take Evans out big time now!Just thot of the buzz there would be over a Carwin vs Rampage fight! LOL
Bisping has turned a corner i think... and he looks to me to be a few good victories away from the promised land!
I could be woefully wrong tho mate??Agreed he looks to be working on cementing himself to the ground when throwing the bombs...
Hope he cracks it.

RE: UFC
I've said before, Bisping needs a win over a big name fighter before the UFC will give him a title fight, he lost to Henderson & Wanderlei, so they may think he's just the best of the rest, don't know if it was just a rumor but he was said to be up against UFC debutant Paul Sass at UFC120... that's a biiiig step back, if he beats Akiyama & then maybe leben or Nate Marquardt then i think he'll get his chance.

I think Rampage v Carwin is set for Dec 25th...

EDIT: News flash Ross Pearson v Cole Miller just confirmed for UFC Fight Night 22 Sep 15th.

MMAthletics ep11, i've not watched it yet so don't know?

Rampage bulk up easy...

agree with most of that g'n'p but don't think bisping is ready for a title shot at the moment he's a level below the top guys, would need a few wins against good opposition.
can't agree with a rampage carwin fight. carwin fights at around 280 pounds and Rampage looked like a fat bloater at 240, just don't think he could put on enough mass correctly, think carwin would man handle him

anyone heard that there calling ufc120:cage rage returns Bounce alright thats not true and was stolen from somewhere else but thought it was funny given the number of ex cage rage fighters on the card

It's the start of the new US policy on immigrant workers, "come try out for a green card".

Agreed Rampage v Carwin will never happen, unless it was at catchweight, but i doubt it would be possible, there'd be 20lbs+ difference
