i think you did not get that level ground, as the system you used was always going to look after the girls on freeview,
the fact that someone like Lucy Summers dose not make the list of Ultimate Babe 2011 for me makes it look a bit hollow,

don't get me wrong Scotsman i appreciate the work you have put in, i just think the scoring could have been done fairer

To those that thanked the counters, I say no problem! It did take a bit of time, but once I was in the groove of counting, it went really quickly!

I just wanted to add, the system was very fair, I can't see there being a fairer system than listing your favourite babes, and having them tallyed up! What would have worked better, that gives every babe a fair chance?

However, I personally don't think there should have been a seeded draw...should have been random

I don't think the system could have been made any fairer. After all, everyone had a chance to vote for ten babes and it was open for a good period.
I was following the votes, and there was a definite shift in the balance as the week went on. A lot of early voters were regular posters, and they tended to favour Elite and (to a lesser extent) RLC girls. Later voters were more likely to be occasional, or even first time posters, and they were the ones who voted heavily for the Cellcast girls.
From a personal point of view, it was a real shame that Paige Green just missed out on the top 16, but she did well considering she's only been doing nights for a year and never does the prime Friday/Saturday night slots.

Any system would favour the girls on freeview, unless you adopt something like the Rugi system which is the only way of giving non-freeview girls more of a chance. But as Scotsman pointed out that way of doing things is heavily flawed as it would mean excluding some highly popular girls in favour of much lesser known ones.

i would have gone for a handicapping system, were you could still vote for any girl you like but if she worked for elite or BS she would need more votes than a sky only girl to get the same number of points in the list

quick question, for round 2 can you abstain from voting on any of the pairings or must you pick one?

Small point, but the fact that Dannii Harwood came third seeded suggests that the freeview factor was not totally limiting the vote. Presumably a high enough proportion of voters must have access somehow. It may be a factor but not so overwhelming.

Many thanks to Scotsman for pointing out Jennifer Jade's achievement in being the highest placed newcomer (now there is a topic for the freeview effect!). Along with Money_shot I am gutted that she didnt quite get top 16. Would've been great for everyone to have to consider voting for/against her in the second round. But at least her name is worth honourable mention here. One to watch.

I was thinking along similar lines as winsaw.Maybe a maximum of 6 votes for Freeview babes,so if you use all 10
votes 4 must be Skx only babes.As it stands in the current system,if you take into account BS & Elite's large rosters,Freeview viewers are unable to vote for approximately 40% of the Sky babes.Even if you factor in the Elite/BS fanboys,surely some Sky babes would make their top 10

On that basis, I suggest giving Jennifer Jade the honorary title of 'Newcomer Of The Year 2011'. That would go a long way to appeasing a lot of disappointed fans, including me.

And I'll add my thanks to Scotsman (and Snookered & Jack) for making the effort. I may be personally disappointed with the freeview predictability of the last 16 (barring Dannii who's my No. 1 pick), but I don't think there was a much fairer system to get everyone's opinion.

Dannii Harwood is a big favourite amongst many of us on here, regardless of which channel she works for. Like I said last night many possibly voted for their favourite babes not necessarily the best performing nightbabe.
