I'm afraid the halcyon days when the sort of things you describe were allowed have long gone . To find out why, you need to look at the various threads about Ofcom rulings, complaints from members of the "public" (some of whom may or may not have been rival channels) etc. This has resulted in a situation where girls are essentially not allowed to touch each other, to the extent that the 2-4-1 (in any meaningful sense at all) has more or less disappeared altogether. One or two channels do have two girls on screen but usually this is just to try to maximise revenue, and are so tame as to be utterly pointless.
It's a sad reflection that something that used to bring so much pleasure to many of us has been destroyed as a result of petty officialdom, interfering busibodies and (possibly) commercial rivalry.
