Reports suggest Downing future may lay at left back or the exit door.
Assaidi plays same position as Stirling,and my opinion Borini should play through the middle (He will get goals) Walcott ,if indeed a Liverpool target,would get you goals either from the flanks or down the middle.

Agreed on that, but I dont think Borini or Suarez can be relied on to get 20+ goals each season. Id personally rather spend the money on a goal getter (Sturridge maybe) than getting another midfielder in

Sturridge is another good option,but regarding a 20/25 a season goal poacher,that's not Rodgers style of play,he wants goals from all over from the middle to the front three,quick interchanging football,not a reliance on a single forward.

Dont get me wrong, id take 10-15 from any of our midfielders, but with the exception of maybe Stevie, I just dont see that happening. Suarez is quality, but he misses too many chances and until we get a guy who can score 20+ each season, I dont think well make top 4

I'm sure given time (not to long I hope) we've got plenty of goals in the team,I'm sure we can't be as bad as last season with our chance to conversion rate.
Yes,it would be nice to have a Fowler/Rush type in our squad but to be honest for the money we have to spend were would you find one?I'm telling ya I've got a good feeling about this season. (Hope that statement doesn't come back and bite me In the arse).

Im feeling good about it too, just a bit wary about the lack of firepower. I dont know who is out there as a traditional poacher, but if Suarez doesnt start taking chances, then we will continue to draw games we should win

Don't worry,I'm sure the goals will come,we may even get to see a few against Hearts on thursday with Assaidi & maybe Adam Morgan playing a part.

If this Dembele to Spurs deal goes through, I hope it goes through quickly as I think we will need to replace him in this same transfer market, but I can't see that happening

I think Dembele is a great acquisition for Spurs and a big loss for Fulham. I was hoping Man Utd would buy him-just the type of player we need. Good luck to Spurs though and to Fulham in trying to replace him.
