Vettel actually did OK considering the technical issues they seemed to be having on the car, Webber as well. Just shows how good that car is, major problems and they still finish ahead of most of the field!
Kind of a shame for Hamilton, drove a great race to stay out front and get his first Mercedes win, but hardly had any air time because all the action was behind him.

Interesting rumour time now as we head to the summer break (didn't they just have 3 weeks off!). Rumours Alonso's people are talking to Red Bull as he gets frustrated with the lack of progress at Ferarri. Interesting to see the interview with Vettel after the race, asked about this rumour, he said he'd prefer Kimi.
Personally I think Kimi will get the spot, unless Vettel's people manage to put a block on it. If it happens, I think Kimi will make Vettel look ordinary with that car. Looking at what Kimi is doing in that Lotus, it's hard to imagine him being anything less than spectacular in a Red Bull. Vettel probably suspects that and may try to push for a weaker driver to protect his own interests.
If Kimi were to go, it would open up a Lotus spot, would Alonso make a move for that? Lotus have made significant forward progress, he may see them as a better prospect than Ferarri who seem to be stuck at the moment.

Either Kimi or Alonso would completely demolish Vettel, if they got identical equipment.

I can't see either of them in a RedBull as long as Vettel is there. I hope I'm wrong as I would love to see the Vettel myth destroyed once and for all.

personally i can't see alonso or raikkonen going to red bull to be back up driver to sebastian horner sorry vettel! its why alonso left McLaren he wasn't going to be reserve to lewis hamilton!

Another boring and just as predictable as it is Monday tomorrow - Vettel win - really is boring now - i don't think i shall bother tuning in anymore. For me they ruined it when they changed the points system at least before when there was only 2 points between winning and second the title race was more interesting and not over with 6 -7 races to spare!

Some pretty exciting stuff from Hamilton at the end, to be fair.

Just a pity it was for 9th place and not for the win.

strong rumours today that kimi raikkonen will be announced this week as Fernando Alonso's team mate at Ferrari. if it isn't raikkonen it will be nico hulkenberg announced as Alonso's team team mate

I can't see Alonso staying as a joint number 1 or Kimi going to Ferrari as a Number 2. Ferrari have always had a Number 1 / Number 2 driver set up.

I can see Alonso going the other way to Lotus, or potentially retiring at the end of his Ferrari contract to concentrate on the Euskaltel-Euskadi cycling team which he bought out last week.
