Certainly could have been worse. England will do well to even get a draw now. Avoiding the follow on is an obvious must be, but if that is achieved if the wicket does start to keep low and turn more the Aussies will not need to bat for long or set a too bigger a target.

I think we need KP to score a triple century & the others to bat around him,then we might somehow get a draw out of this.

At England's present run-rate it would take them over 4 days to get up to Australia's score.

That sort of depends on them not getting out, though - something that they aren't being shy about at the mo.

Its time to retire some of these clowns starting with Pietersen, Prior and Swann none of them offering anything. You cant be in a team because of reputation. We got no bottle we got a bowler half a yard quicker than Johnson but we dont use him cause he is a little bit "expensive". Lets get Finn in and tell him to bowl the fucking thing as fast as you can and hurt 'em
