I don't think this is going to go away. I don't think Boris will get it done however 'oven ready' it is. I spoke to a friend of mine and he told me it was pointless voting for who he wanted so he spoilt his ballot paper - never heard him do that before.
Not convinced about that 'G'!! It may be that some votes that make the overall difference, have been cast by those that didn't 'get it' in terms of the politics of the issue! I believe that is exactly what brought Brexit upon us! I have heard more than one example of 'I wasn't sure what the Brexit issue was about - or would mean - but I voted for/against in the referendum. That is not only unhealthy for our democracy given the profound effects of such votes, it is also taking the right to vote for granted!!

Around about 2am and thereafter, will be the best indicator results - whatever that means!

A lot of people suggest that the votes of those who couldn't vote in the referendum might be influential!!

RE: General Election 2019
^The quickest declaration was just 48 minutes after polls closed at Houghton and Sunderland South.
But they were much slower in 2017 when Newcastle Central declared at 11.01pm.

Both most results start after midnight and most have declared by 4pm.

The exit polls are usually broadcast just after 10pm. But are often inaccurate.

Yes there is always a race to see who can declare the quickest! Never understood why?? As usual though, here in good old NI, we have to wait for the next coming of the dinosaurs - to take their place alongside those already here;-) before we even start to count! it truly is pathetic!!

Don't they announce at 10 pm their findings based on the exit polls ? I remember that at the last election as Andrew Neil announced that the exit polls suggested a hung parliament and the other people in the studio were shocked to say the least laugh
