It's not just for publicity either he really wants it! It's stupid though, he has no chance barring a lucky punch and the whole argument of boxers facing MMA artists is NOT relevant at all. It's like saying could Chelsea beat the Chicago Bulls at Basketball or vice-versa?? Of course they couldn't!
Neither can beat the other at their craft unless were talking about it at a really low level but at the highest level of either MMA or Boxing it's pointless. Each would beat the other at their chosen craft.
