RE: Transfer Rumours And Done Deals 2012
No-one's surprised at Man City being active at the end of the transfer window, but I bet not many people predicted they'd sign 34-year-old permanently-injured goalie Richard Wright eek Yet that's what I'm reading on Twitter.

There are three possible explanations for this:

1) The money's run out
2) They need to make their squad more English
3) They think we're back in 2000, when Wright was at Ipswich and touted as the next England keeper.

Just seen that.
Apparently he was in Italy close to agreeing terms with Juventus, but has chosen Fulham instead! I'm sure there's a good reason for that decision ... somewhere!!!

EDIT : Actually just read some of the stuff on the net. Apparently he was on his way to speak to Fiorentina, on tickets paid for by the club, with a deal agreed between the clubs. En route Juventus stepped in with an offer, and he never arrived in Florence. Somewhere along the way Fulham then came in with an offer as well.
Fiorentina are apparently less than happy Smile
Juventus allegedly looking at Nicklas Bendtner instead now.

He's having his medical today.

This is apparently a done deal, the add-ons could make it 8million in total.
Swansea have allegedly bought in Pablo Hernandez from Valencia for 5.5mil as replacement.
Hernandez is a bargain for 5.5 million and in my opinion a better player than Sinclair

RE: Transfer Rumours And Done Deals 2012
Sky Sports News is reporting that Tottenham may make a late bid for Athletic Bilbao striker Fernando Llorente and at the same AVB has ruled out a move for Marseille striker Loic Remy.

Sunderland are showing interest in Fulham's Clint Dempsey. That would be a bit of a sideways move for Dempsey in my opinion.

Liverpool look set to snap up Bayer Leverkusen's 18 year old forward Samed Yesil for 1 million.

Man City are looking to strengthen their defence with the 4.7 million signing of Maicon from Inter Milan.

Everton are launching a bid of around 5.5 million for FC Copenhagen defender Bryan Oviedo.

Can I just say the idea of Blackburn paying 8 million for Huddersfield striker Jordan Rhodes is too much money to spend and a bit of a rip off

Bounce

You mean a backwards move.

He's far too arrogant a player to move there, he'll think it's beneath him, but I have been wrong before!

I heard that Fulham came in with £80,000 a week wages. I might be wrong but that is probably what tipped the scales in their favour Big Grin
I hope Fulham get the best out of him as he sadly never really fit in at UtdBlush

Surprised we would break our wage structure so heavily for him, I hope he does the business for us!

bytor, do you have a source for where you read about £80,000 a week wages?

I doubt Berbatov would be on £80,000 a week!!

Berbatov oozes class. He is a lazy shit yet, but then he is a striker, not a midfielder or defender. As long as he does his job up front and the midfielders and defenders do their job, then he will be a star man.

I know you'd expect him against lower opposition, but when I saw him play against Aldershot, his touch, runs, passes the lots were fantastic. He has a great football brain as well. Fantastic player.

Cardiff agree a deal for Nicky Maynard. Great business in my opinion, a decent striker.
