RE: Transfer Rumours And Done Deals 2012
No-one's surprised at Man City being active at the end of the transfer window, but I bet not many people predicted they'd sign 34-year-old permanently-injured goalie Richard Wright Yet that's what I'm reading on Twitter.
There are three possible explanations for this:
1) The money's run out
2) They need to make their squad more English
3) They think we're back in 2000, when Wright was at Ipswich and touted as the next England keeper.

Finally, some good Fulham news!

You mean a backwards move.
He's far too arrogant a player to move there, he'll think it's beneath him, but I have been wrong before!

Berbatov having a medical at Fulham today - transfer agreed with Man Utd.
Just seen that.
Apparently he was in Italy close to agreeing terms with Juventus, but has chosen Fulham instead! I'm sure there's a good reason for that decision ... somewhere!!!
EDIT : Actually just read some of the stuff on the net. Apparently he was on his way to speak to Fiorentina, on tickets paid for by the club, with a deal agreed between the clubs. En route Juventus stepped in with an offer, and he never arrived in Florence. Somewhere along the way Fulham then came in with an offer as well.
Fiorentina are apparently less than happy
Juventus allegedly looking at Nicklas Bendtner instead now.
I heard that Fulham came in with £80,000 a week wages. I might be wrong but that is probably what tipped the scales in their favour
I hope Fulham get the best out of him as he sadly never really fit in at Utd

Surprised we would break our wage structure so heavily for him, I hope he does the business for us!
bytor, do you have a source for where you read about £80,000 a week wages?

I doubt Berbatov would be on £80,000 a week!!
Berbatov oozes class. He is a lazy shit yet, but then he is a striker, not a midfielder or defender. As long as he does his job up front and the midfielders and defenders do their job, then he will be a star man.
I know you'd expect him against lower opposition, but when I saw him play against Aldershot, his touch, runs, passes the lots were fantastic. He has a great football brain as well. Fantastic player.
