RE: Liverpool FC
Was watching the Live Phone-In on LFCTV earlier today, and one guy called up and probably echoed what most Liverpool fans are surely calling out for, and that is "We have a perfectly good plan B, playing at West Ham... If we can't score on the deck, why not bomb a few crosses in and see what happens" I'm 100% behind this quote

RE: Liverpool FC
There is a reason why brendan doesn't want Andy carroll and thats because he doesn't fit into our plans, there was no embarassment about our result today and hoofing long balls into the box won't solve anything, the only reason we didn't win today was because of a excellent performance by readings goalkeeper, not anything to do with our tactics or how we played as we completely dominated them and we created loads of chances and any other day would have won by 3 or 4 goals, people need to stop knee jerking when we don't get 3 points.. Playing like stoke isn't the answer..

RE: Liverpool FC
Plans B's are needed but for us it'd have to be a tactic or players coming off the bench that fit our tactics but offer something else, i.e. speed, this is the main thing we lack.
I've seen a picture in the papers today of the 14 or so shots that we had on target, I'm not surprised the keeper saved them given where they were. There was only two that are in an area of the goal that you'd consider a shot to work the keeper, most were in saving distance of the centre. Thats just not good enough, we can dominate all we like with as many shots as we like but you need to be testing the keeper in all areas of his goal, taking more care of where you place the ball, it's not getting it under the bar & between the posts that matters.
Watching MOTD I saw Suarez blasting a shot at the keeper at the end of the game, it looked a good save given who the shot was from & the point in the game it was at but truth be known, it's a shot the keepers union would say he should be saving. Just to Suarez's left Sturridge barely even moved & after Suarez shot looked as if he was thinking, I knew he wouldn't pass from there. Suarez should've placed his shot better & Sturridge should be on his toes at all times in the box to give the man on the ball options or to be first to the rebound, he just looked like he thought Suarez is gonna shoot so I may as well not bother, he was right though, Suarez is alway gonna shoot in that position rather than get his head up to see if he can square it.
Pass, pass & create is all good but our shooting accuracy is way off.

So somebody like michu or david villa would be ideal for us not an andy carroll type player.

I ain't having that excuse "he don't fit into Rodgers plans". At the end of the day we don't have an attacker that can head a ball, so that should be our plan B.
Bringing in David Villa would be a waste of time, we already have Suarez and Sturridge, we certainly don't need another player who can't head a ball.

RE: Liverpool FC
Totally agree Mr77 we never should have wasted all that money on Andy Carroll after 1 decent season in the championship, I think it was a panic buy more than anything. Things are looking promising though, really happy with what Brendan is doing with the squad and the majority of the signings he's making, we just need to be more clinical in front of goal, the system rodgers is using is creating loads of chances.
Hopefully Borini will be back next season too and find his form with a run of games and with Coutinho, Sturridge, Suarez providing he stays and the addition of somebody like Villa or Michu which isn't unthinkable at all, and if we strengthen our defence I think we are in for a great season next year.
