Slow Board & "MyBB SQL Errors"

I blame holly james and michelle thorne!

There is no problem with the speed. It's the number of users that needs increased again, as it reached it's limit again and maxed out.

In order for that message to be shown, there must at the time have been more than 1,000 users online.

Is there anyway of cutting the guests off instead of members?

Well I've had that dreaded "MyBB SQL Error" about 3 times tonight.

But then I checked to online users, and it was hovering around the 960 mark. So I guess it must have gone over the 1000 again!

Surely I can't be the only member who gets this error?

I've not had any problems aceman.

You must be jinxed, aceman65. I haven't had that happen to me, in fact, since the change over the forum has been really fast during both the day and at night.

I've not had any MyBB SQL Errors, but in the past hour I've barely been able to load any pages on the forum. Once every five or ten minutes I'll connect for 30 seconds - the rest of the time the connection times out.


EDIT: All appears to be well again from my perspective (01:00am)

I wasn't actually going to mention that, but since I'm not the only one, I've had maybe 2-3 timeouts per hour whilst on the forum as well as the above error.

I just put the time outs to my server being busy, but maybe it wasn't.

OK the number of allowed users has been increased, which should really solve the problem. But let me know if you see that message again, just in case there is still any remaining issue.
