Another fair effort this week

agree i enjoyed it last night. loved lister getting into a love triangle with 2 vending machines and cat doing charades . very funny lines again too.

will be getting this when it comes out on bluray on 19th november

good final episode tonight. some good funny moments and the ending does leave it open for more series. i hope there is more as i personally have enjoyed this series of red dwarf a lot, not far of how good it was when it was at its best which for me was series 4-6.

Well it hasn't been a classic of a series, some people sometimes come away with lines, maybe they should have left it alone. It was good to see the cast back again but unfortunately to be brutally honest, the plot has mostly been very weak in my opinion and not a patch on Series 5 or 6. It just lacks energy and inspiration. A good effort mind you

I thought it was a nice end to what has been a much better series than expected. It's open-ended enough that they could either leave it there or carry on

I liked it personally. I came in with the mindset of as long as it's better than 8 and it was. I might not have been as great as 5 & 6 (my personal favourites) but think that's asking too much, it's been such a long time since they were on and there's probably different writers working on it.

exactly bobby, i never expected it to be as good as when red dwarf was at its best which for me was series 4-6. even so i really enjoyed it a lot and hope there is more series to come

I've watched the entire series on DVD and I thought it was good. Much better than series 8 and although I can't comment on series 9 because due to bad reports I missed it completely, it holds up well in the cannon.

Just been announced that there will be 2 more series of red dwarf on Dave which will start filming this autumn and will air in 2016 and 2017

Very good news

Just as I said previously I think they should leave the Red Dwarf franchise alone. The other week I was watching reruns on Dave and then compared it to the last series they did.

I just feel it was a great show in his day but if the onscreen chemistry, poor comedy timing and weak plots are anything like the 2012 debacle then I'll be giving this latest rehash the body swerve.
