The seeding system is an interesting issue to which I gave an awful lot of thought to last year when launching the dayshow comp. It was the issue that gave me the most food for thought.
My logic now is as it ended up being then.
The top 16 qualifiers will have earnt their seeding position within that top 16 by virtue of how many points and therefore level of popularity they obtain within that first phase of voting.
The top ten nomination list allows people to express their level of preference for a fair number of the babes i.e 10 in ranking order.
The overall level of popularity in the opening phase is not something that I feel can just be dismissed out of hand.
For me the possibility of the top qualifiers getting drawn against each other early on in an open draw would feel like penalising them for achieving high popularity in such an open first phase by playing them off against each other too early. I feel this would run the risk of a lot of the top qualifiers getting knocked out early and mass complaints of a false result in the end. As I say the top 16 qualifiers will have earnt their position in that top 16 and the higher seeds should imo get rewarded for their performance in achieving that seed number in the first place.
With the seeding system used properly the seeding number totals match up in both halves of the draw.

This means seeds 1,4,5,8,9,12,13,16 = 68 in the top half and seeds 2,3,6,7,10,11,14,15 = 68 in the bottom half.
And the draw would look like this

Round 2
1 v 16
8 v 9
5 v 12
4 v 13
-------
3 v 14
6 v 11
7 v 10
2 v 15

Quarter Finals
1 or 16 v 8 or 9
5 or 12 v 4 or 13
-----------------
3 or 14 v 6 or 11
2 or 15 v 7 or 10

and so on and so on.

It is not guaranteed that seeds one and two get to the final. In the dayshow comp last year neither of the top two seeds made it to the final. Anyway this is a subject I will continue to reflect on in the weeks leading up to the potential start of the comp.
Believe me, this is something I have been over in my head a million and one times.
It was a real tough decision last year and no doubt will be again this time.
All opinions welcome .

Two separate comps.
A nightshow comp and a dayshow comp.
In each comp everyone would choose their top ten babes in ranking order with points allocated to babes according to where they finish in each top ten list submitted.
10pts for first down to 1pt for tenth.
The top 16 point scoring babes in each comp would qualify for the first round of the knockout phase. From there it would be a series of knockout rounds until a dayshow and nightshow champion emerges.

I know that these things don't appeal to everybody but if the more established members don't take it on it's almost certain that somebody (with the best of intentions) will just post a thread and start off a poll, only to get bogged down when they realise how much work is involved or, as happened with one end of year poll a couple of years ago, disappear halfway through leaving somebody else to clean up behind them .

Can I ask what's happening on the individual channel front? I see that winsaw is running the RLC comp again, and I'm happy to do Storm and Chatgirl. Perhaps the regulars of the other channels could decide among themselves if and how they want to organise something?

It would be good to have individual comps for BS, Xxxpanded and S66 so I hope one, two or three people step up to the plate for those channels.
I will have my hands full with the one or two comps I will be running so I will have to let someone else take up the BS, Xxxpanded and S66 comps.

i will be doing the Newcomer of the year comp in December, with that in mind if anyone can think of any names of any newcomers from any channel please pm me as i am trying to put a list together to help people choose this year
