F.A Cup draw was made today...

A lot of water has gone under the bridge since I was last round these parts. We're now up to third in the league, and haven't even conceded a goal in five games. And we're through to the last eight of the League Cup where we've got a [irony] nice easy game away to Man Yoo [/irony].

I was very interested to see the picture of Wilfried Zaha, quite rightly protesting against the EPPP, another disgusting example of Premier League greed. Under this, there will be more situations like the John Bostock scenario. For those who don't know, Bostock came up through our youth system, making his league debut at the age of 15 Then a year later, Spurs poached him from us, and a tribunal valued him at £750,000, an absolutely disgraceful amount considering we'd reportedly turned down £5m from another club before that. Bostock is now MIA, whereas he would've played over 100 games for us by now if he'd stayed.
We certainly don't want the same to happen to Zaha or Jonny Williams, another product of our youth academy who's been making waves this season. Though I'm resigned to the fact that they'll probably both be gone within a year unless we get promoted which, despite our excellent start to the season, is still very much a long shot.

Nice to have you back on board eagle_si , if only for a while. some good points you raised. Yes the Bostock incident was a farce and led to Simon Jordan giving up (who can blame him) it is just another example of football being brought to it's knees by the rich. Scudamore is a scum bag, he hasn't got footballs best interests at heart, just his own and the global product that is now the "EPL"

Because it's little minions sucking the pecker of the money men and success stories, rather then pick on individual ability and skill. Also to have a player from an English league would be to big an insult to the Spanish league, the likes of Shatini and Bloater wouldn't stand for that.

Gareth Bale should be on the list to if he isn't already (I haven't seen it to be fair, but it is the shit every time)
