I think the FA need to bring a fair play rule in that says you can't take this kind of corner or the stop start penalty that players always do as it's not fair on the keeper who can no longer come off his line.
I can't see why the officials can't come out after each game and explain decisions. I think it's long overdue for this.
When I listen to 606 on R5, often I hear people say why can't the officials be allowed to explain their decisions? It would then make sense to us fans why that particular controversial decision was taken. As far as the corner/stop start penalty think, I think the stop/start penalty should be made a automatic yellow card offence and the decision reversed.
On the corner thing, I think there should be either a 30 second time limit on taking of corners or a corner judge should be sit on the corner and only comes into play when there is corner. Any similar infringement like Blackburn's should also warrant as automatic yellow card or maybe a sin bin could be introduced when for that type
of offence that that the player who was responsible should sit in a sin for 2 minutes like they do for ice hockey.

Are all the teams going to start playing in fancy dress
Somehow JT in fancy dress wouldn't be entertaining viewing!

I've argued this many a times, when a manager says something after a game he gets slapped by the FA yet refs & linesmen could stop all this by being made to give interviews themselves.
A manager disagrees with a bad decision, he gets fined or banned, a ref/linesman makes a bad decision he gets payed to ref a Championship game the week after. Hows that fair!!!

RE: Football Banter
its easy to sort out you have video replays in game for penalties, goals and off the ball incidents. people object to this on the grounds has it would spoil the flow of the game, well you have stopages for goalkicks, throw ins, freekicks, corners etc. and these dont spoil the flow of the game. football is about 5yrs behind most sports that use video replays in game. players would stop diving if they know that there is a video ref looking at peanlty area incidents.

I would agree, I would think Mr Blatter and those at FIFA might be once again come out against it, and it certainly would annoy me too!
I do think that it's time Fifa stopped dragging it heels on this. it is the 2st Centrury and football is lagging behind other sports using technology. Maybe Mr. Pulis' (Stoke manager) piece in the Star today might provide another way forward.
