I've not been in here for a while, have I missed anything.
RIGHT!!!
Luis Suárez, is he a cheat, well he made a great save at the world cup but so did Thierry Henry in the build up to it & who remembers Zinedine Zidane & Rivaldo.
Anyone wanna call the two greats cheats.... So I guess we'll just leave it as a crazy world cup moment as none of us on here will ever know what it's like to play in one, therefore will never understand the pressure which goes with it.
As for the premier League, it's a well known fact that a more than needed number of players & yes they are most often foreign do on occasions go to ground very easy to the annoyance, anger & distaste of most domestic fans.
Of those who are foreign players they are mainly from Europe (west/Central), Africa & South America, the Africans I can't explain as some are build like a brick wall, the South Americans do it as it's something that is often seen in the biggest leagues on their continent where it's accepted & part of the passion & flair they have in their game, this we have to somewhat accept when they come over here as they also bring a good range of skill aswell.
The European players I just don't get as considering we are in Europe aswell it's even harder to explain, I'd say the Italians & co are a bunch of fuckin pansies & need to man up, Seb Larson & Patrick Viera (At Anfield a few years back) why!!!
The more these players play in leagues like the Premier League & maybe the Bundesliga they will over time do it less & less i.e. Ronaldo, Fernando Torres & who knows maybe even Luis Suárez & Nani.
Now putting my Liverpool head on I'd maybe say something like.
Luis Suárez goes to ground a little easy at times, everyone & maybe even the player himself knows this due the the fact he bitches & moans for a good 20sec afterwards possibly due to him knowing he's not gonna get a foul given against him, this is the part of his game which over time he'll do away with just like Ronaldo did especially given Suárez is managed by a great man manager in Kenny Dalglish.
Luis Suárez's style of play is very low to the ground & he tends to twist & turn alot just like he did when he may have won a penalty at Fulham, he didn't dive he was in full swing with his style of play & tried to get round the defender at very close quarters & this caused some contact & Suárez went down & maybe 8 times out of 10 a player would've won the penalty but I think on this occasion didn't due to the reputation he's got this season, deserved & not deserved at different times.
The racism thing I'll stick by what I said in the culture mixup post (Check if if you like). As for the finger photo, just like journo Shaun Custis said on Sky Sports News the other morning, whats wrong with this kind of thing on occasion (As long as it's not too often), a player getting dogs abuse & having a little retaliation at the end of the game as long as it doesn't hurt anyone i.e Joey Barton showing his arse to the Everton fans (I think) who gave him shit all game, if you find this offensive then you need to get a grip & don't bring the what about the kids shit into it as it's not as bad as players getting done for rape or what ever else they get in the papers for.
I think this is a fair enough post so anyone wanting to disagree, in my opinion is just trying to muster up the anti Liverpool brigade again.
Now away from that, how about the FA getting Wayne Rooney's ban reduced to 2 games, this is a player who deliberately stamped on a player at the European Championship finals & then deliberately kicked a player in a European Championship qualifier & a player who some think should be England captain.
They also have their currant captain under investigation on a racism charge yet still let him play & captain (I think) their side in a friendly game. What sort of example is this setting for the Premier League clubs who week after week get their players & staff charged with god knows what.
I remember a few years ago at Anfield when Javier Mascherano got his face stroked by Middlesbrough's Jeremie Aliadiere & Aliadiere got sent off then an extra game ban for having the cheek to appeal it, this was the same punnishment if I remember that Ruud van Nistelrooy got for trying to break the leg of Ashley Cole.
How can the FA now turn away ANY appeal after today!!! Jay Spearing got a debatable red card on Monday night yet we're not gonna appeal but after today I think the FA should demand that we do appeal it just so they can say well for this appalling gesture he's now gets a life ban.... Tossers!!!
