If we had a system of PR, a coalition with that Conservative party & The Lib Dems as they were under Clegg before joining Cameron that would probably be half decent

The Tories are mosy likely going to lose the next election and when parties lose they seem to go further to the left or right perhaps as some kind of comfort blanket. They come up with a theory that the public have voted for a left/right wing party because they were not enough of the opposite.

The Tories need to elect a moderate who can detoxify the party, stand up to the NatCons in the way Starmer has with the socialist cranks & make it look like a party of adults fit to govern.

Two of the peerages are for Sharma & Dorries, both sitting MPs who would stand down to take their seat in The Lords. Sharma has a majority of 4k & Dorries is 24.6k

Its realistic that Labour could take Sharma's seat in a by-election.

The last time Dorries seat did not elect a Tory was in 1920 so there is little chance, however much some of us might wish it, that Labour would take it off them but in 97 & 01 Labour got 32% & 31% so something close to that would allow them to create the narrative they are on course for a big win

The Time now reporting that Dorries & Sharma's peerages will not be on the honours list in order to avoid by-elections

And Stanley Johnson has also been dropped from Boris Johnson’s resignation honours list.

Mad Nad has stood down as an MP with immediate effect!!!!!

So there will be a bi-election in her very safe Mid Bedfordshire seat.

It would be a good safe seat for Boris.

Nadine will probably end up on GB News
