Because all the crap on the screen actually stops people from calling. It's one of the main reasons I no longer call.

All viewers are potential callers but casual newcomers who tune in and are horrified by the unholy mess of obstructions and interruptions will probably leave immediately and never come back - potential business which will never materialise.

I don't see what argument is weakened. If there are members of this forum who are pissed off at the all the various forms of disruption inflicted on the shows and the membership is only a small proportion of the total numbers who call in (how would they know that?), all other factors being equal there should be even greater numbers out there who are equally pissed off but never voice their protest (the 'silent majority'). Bear in mind also that any call for a boycott isn't just read by the membership of this forum but many times that number - look at how many members are online at any given time compared with the number of guests.

Its the first time I've actually noticed them being called this.
A much more approprate name for them than Cellcast, due to all their adverts.

The interruptions are annoying whether they be from Geri or anyone else. Geri should be on the phones anyway and is wasted on mic duties. The relentless plugging of BS Xtreme is terrible for SKY viewers as it is not available on SKY. Why should any viewer have something advertised that they cannot access? And then there is all the black boxes telling us about pics, female callers and other pointless crap. As if I give a toss about any of it. I want to watch the on screen babe and not a plethora of adverts and black boxes. Oh no sorry I forgot. That might be what the viewers want and we can't have that. Silly me. I shall reprimand myself forthwith for making such disgracefully unrealistic demands

well i argee the osg is anoying i get more pised buy the interruptions to be honest but the osg is not going any where in a perfect world tiff would do 2for1s all the time but we just have to deal with it lol

Whoever was in charge of the graphics last night must have had a nasty rash on his already itchy trigger finger. At least two boxes at all times, full screen adverts and that "half screen" banner was on Xtra far more often that it has recently

i know it just seemed obscure that sort of thing happened but it just goes to show different producers have different attitudes on that sort of thing. About time that Ally4Paige's mission was achieved and we show babestation who is boss as we are not happy with it.

As I've pointed out before, according to the latest statistics just over 66% of Sky viewers also have Freeview.

On the other hand, only a little over 33% of Freeviewers have Sky and yet we get adverts for shows and channels that are only carried on Sky.

Whoever manages the BSXtra OSGs was really taking the piss last night. Despite all the protest happening on here he EXPANDED the picture box at lower left of screen to at least 30% larger than normal. It was HUGE.

Not only that, but he childishly pissed about with it - ballooning it up even bigger and then shrinking it again several times in rapid succession. Twerp.

On BS1 and BSXtra, black boxes were put to full screen and left like that for up to a minute at a time.

Very fair point, well made . Unfortunately though my frustration is compounded by the fact that I have both Freeview and Sky but there is no channel 96 on my freeview. Maybe its a technical issue and I am useless with technology . Anyway I see that the GIRL CALLER black box has already made an appearance while Michelle is on BS1. Most of the left side of the screen wiped out then. There are times her face is just blocked out. And now the full screen flashing black box. Bonkers
