many consider "Apocalypse now (F.F. Coppola) " and "The Deer Hunter (M. Cimino) " the best American movies about Vietnam...well, i prefer this masterpiece of master Kubrick. Distressing scenarios, unconventional style (especially for a film about 'nam), a mix of surreal and ultra realistic situations, and a fitting soundtrack. all the usual ingredients of Kubrick's films..just great

Far From the Madding Crowd. Read the book and I love Carey Mulligan. She doesn't get her tits out, or her arse, or anything for that matter but it's still really fucking good.
