RE: Europe, Referendum & Brexit ( formerly Europe..IN or OUT??)
YouGov was founded by Stephen Shakespear a former Conservative pollster and candidate for Colchester and Conservative MP Nadhim Zahawi. It's Chairman Roger Parry was commissioned by the Conservative Party to write a report of local media, his proposals on local tv were adopted as government policy by Jeremy Hunt when he was culture secretary.
Yes Labour & Conservatives have an equal stance when it comes to Brexit but it is looking increasingly likely that we are heading towards a Hard Brexit which is not what most Labour Brexiteers want and not what the leadership says it wants (I imagine Corbyn does want that). On top of that there are other powerful forces within the party, mainly the Trade Unions that are trying to push the leadership towards a soft Brexit. So as the Tory party moves further to the right on Brexit to accommodate Rees Mogg & The ERG and The Trade Unions push the leadership to a deal that would keep the country as close to EU membership as possible I think it only natural that Labour voters would lose there resolve on the whole project.
I think the reason the media have not debated it much is because as I said in the original post, it's not really going to change much and as I also said it is merely a sign that the countries opinion is changing not out and out conclusive proof.
If there were to be a second referendum Remain MPs would respect a leave vote because they are respecting the leave vote now. Most have said that they respect the result of the referendum, even if the do not agree, any talk of efforts to thwart Brexit is merely drum banging by the right wing media & establishment. Most of the MPs on Parliament voted to trigger Article 50, including your friend Anna Soubry. In fact the only MP in the Government that voted against it was Ken Clarke. What they have voted on and rebelled against the government on is the terms in which we leave and who has what power of what when it comes to leaving Parliament or Whitehall. Even voting against the triggering of Article 50 is not a vote against Brexit it could be a vote against the timing, after all Article 50 is a trap and was designed specifically to be a trap. You have 2 yrs to negotiate 10 yrs worth negotiations, any idiot would not trigger Article 50 straight away, they would look to secure the 2 yr transitional agreement first and wait until after the French and German general elections and definitely not hold a general elections themselves in the process.
When it comes to Remain voters, I cannot speak for all them but in regards to me you are right, I will never accept Brexit. It is in stark contrast to pretty much my entire belief system and who I am. As soon as we leave the campaign to rejoin begins. This is what makes it all pointless and unnecessary really. The majority of people under the age of 50 did not vote for Brexit and yet we will be the ones that have to live with it. One day millennials will be the largest voting block and the ones in power and I am here to tell you now we are going to take this country back into the EU and if it means using The Euro and being part of Schengen, so be it. If Brexiteers don't like that. Tough. By then that will be the will of the people
If i could find a girl that had the looks of Gal Gadot, breasts of Sophie Mudd with Demi Rose's ass, the personality of Jessica Ennis, the grace of Kendall Jenner on the red carpet and then behind closed doors the raw sexual energy of Nicole Snow i'd know i was dead and gone to heaven, so i'll just take Demi Rose's ass and Nicole's sexual energy
