Jones is having an Xray on his shoulder. As someone who has just broken his collar bone I can sympathise and hope he hasn't! Jones is a quality player but like the rest of the team has had a poor season. He is still a young lad who is learning. As with any young player they need strong and disciplined older players to help them develop and build confidence, someone like a Keane or a Robson but sadly we are lacking that calibre at the moment.

Rio Ferdinand has left Man Utd after the club told him no new contract was on offer. Ferdinand said he hopes to continue playing next season and is open to offers from anyone else.

It bodes well that the club have made such a move, one that should have been done two or so years ago in my opinion. A few others need to be moved on as well to make room

Ferdinand was a great servant - shame that injuries in the last few years affected his appearances - still need to replace him and vidic because god help us if we have to start next season with smalling and jones at the back - if we do it will make this seasons 7th place look brilliant - wont finish that high with them at the back.

Not a fan of jagielka or cahill but if they get injured at world cup - we're fucked if we have to play smalling or jones! not that i think England will get out of the group anyway!

Yes he was but we cannot be sentimental about days gone by if we are to be contenders again. Apparently we are after Mats Hummel, who who be an excellent replacement. We also need someone to replace Vidic.

Apparently van Gaal has met with Giggs to discuss his appointment as the assistant manager when he takes over. Of course that could also mean that he doesn't want Giggsy

glad to see giggs stopping on as the number 2 van gaal - hopefully he will learn a few things from him and hopefully in 3 years time when van gaal's contract is up and if he retires Giggs may be ready to take over.
