Rubbish I'm afraid. England are desperate to beat Australia. Face up to reality. They are a team in decline. Anderson isn't on the same level as the Australian quick bowlers now. Swann has been outbowled by Lyon in this series. Prior's a spent force. Bresnan opening the bowling, no disrespect to him but that's a joke. Collingwood's never been properly replaced. I could go on. But play a match in English conditions, let England win the toss for a change and give their bowlers a duke ball and then let's see what happens.

A team under-performing,rather than a team in decline.A combination of lack on form,Australia's home advantage,losing the toss,poor team/squad selection,the list goes on all add up to the situation England find themselves in.

For me England are losing this series for a number of reasons.
1. Lost the toss every time.
2. Self inflicted dismissals by the bucketload.
3. England tail has not wagged while Australia's tail has wagged.
4. Dropped catches at important times.
5. Swann has been dictated to by the Aussie batsmen stopping him tieing down an end.
6. Mitchell Johnson hit a purple patch in both the opening tests.
7. A lot of England players out of form at the same time.

I could go on but that will do for now.

What are they meant to do about point number 1?

Australia bat for 17 overs and add a whopping 134 runs, during which time England spill 2 of the simplest catches you'll ever see. Then England go into bat and Cook is bowled first ball.

Australia 369/6 declared, England 0/1.

England have been run ragged this morning. Very embarrassing.

The target is 504 and England have closed the 4th day on 251/5. Stokes on 72 and Prior on 7 are the not out batsman. Australia have to bowl 13 overs tomorrow until the new ball can be taken.

Where there's life there's hope,& you can just about feel a pulse.
Amazing how different their bowlers look when you actually take the attack back to them.sadly KP played one shot too many.Broad will bat if required,which he will be even if it's to keep their bowlers out there a little longer.Again as in the 1st innings the new ball is only 13 overs away.To stand any chance England can only afford to lose 1 wicket in each of the first 2 sessions & even the they could get blown away in one over.
Just show some fight this time,even in a lost cause.
