I can only say the late John Smith probably would have been the best Labour PM we never had.

I've noticed as soon as folk stop being PM they start talking a whole lot more sense than they ever did when they were PM and develop a little more compassion. Pressure off, can say what they like. Greasy pole climbed and relinquished but for what?

Cynical old Snooks Rolleyes

An example of this is Torsten Bell. He was chairman of the Resolution foundation think tank and was opposed to benefit cuts etc. But then did a complete 180 once he became a Labour MP and as you say its now "screw the electorate" that he once fought for annoyed

So it was brilliant to see his car crash interview on Newsnight justifying the benefit/welfare cuts

Any interview on Newsnight probably does become a car crash if you're not careful

Apparently there is more cuts to the welfare/benefits budget to be announced in the Spring Statement tomorrow as the cuts that were announced last week won't save the money that Labour has said they would save according to the OBR annoyedannoyedannoyedannoyedannoyedannoyed

I have to say that our MP's really don't have a clue, but I think we can safely say that the Liz Truss Government started the rot

Truss certainly didn't help the economy, but those in charge seem to always think it's okay to go after the poor, sick and disabled, rather than the wealthy.
Another failure to fix the welfare state, it's not fairer if all you do is cut support, the fact so many use food banks tells you everything you need to know.
Reeves is one of those delusional people who sees numbers and not the person, more deaths linked to benefits is almost a guarantee under Labour now.

Their priorities are all wrong, they have no shame and are pushing the country into the hands of Reform, arrogant, ignorant, absolute fucking clowns.

They conned many, including myself, into thinking they would be the least worst option, but they are proving to be more heartless than imagined. Scumbags.

RE: Keir Starmer - and his miserable government
I wasn't conned & voted Green Party in the election because of what they said in the election including being "tougher on welfare/benefits than the tories"
But even I didn't think Labour would even go as far as they are doing at the moment & go after the sick, vulnerable & disabled like they are annoyedannoyedshocked

Absolutely spot on & in agreement with you Skully
