Unlikely.
Apologies. This is totally my fault. I have a bad, bad personality trait called a sense of humour, which, sometimes, includes sarcasm and a little exaggeration. You, seemingly, have the personality of a blackboard. I did not know this. I do now. Apologies.

Take the last 3 seasons... blah, blah, blah....
Please note - I am going to assume (very safely) that Real Madrid have existed and done transfer business since before 2009.
First of all, I think people in this thread want to read about LIVERPOOL, not your historical (or hysterical?) guide to Real Madrid transfers which, by your account, have only taken place since 2009 anyway. That said...
Now, you say
generally but then proceed to talk about one phase over the last 3/4 seasons. News Flash...... that's not general! Just so you know, keep up. So, just for you, i will touch on it
generally. Thank me later.
Real Madrid overpay for players, however you want to twist it, mask it, lie about it, go ahead, have fun, but they still do it regardless. If you had any idea what you were talking about rather than just researching stats and figures you would know that Madrid do pay and have paid a lot of crazy transfer fees that exceed the true value of the players themselves. They are notorious for it. No i will not look this up for you, bring 'evidence', do an essay, a presentation or a lecture. I do not have the time and i know this is right. So, do what you want with that.
Modric was not £26m, it was more than that, although they did not over pay for him.
Coentrao was near enough £30m and, yes, they over paid. Mahamdou Diarra (remember him?) was bought for £22m. Kaka was £57m (cheap eh). Elvir Baljic for £20m back in 1999!! £20m for Walter Samuel. £20m for Flavio Conceiciao. The list goes on and on of them overpaying if you open your eyes. Over the years that's what they have notoriously done. A lot!
The only reason they have not overpaid particularily in the last few years is because Mourinho himself has controlled transfers and he knows what he is
doing. Now he is gone, as you can see, it is back to normal again. The same old Real madrid, back again. THAT is the real Real Madrid! Not an isolated few years that you carefully pick out when you feel like it.
They have just signed Asier Illaramendi for £30m! Forgot about him did you Einstein? Now Bale for £90m. Also Isco for £27m as well plus the millions they paid to his dad. Go on say it, that isn't £30m!
You know what, it isn't
careful either. And they, Real Madrid,
generally aren't.
