there is a story on the sun website with the headline "get ash out" it refers to roman abromavich wanting cole out of the club because he wasnt happy about being a substitute for the napoli game or something like that, i always give up the stories when it comes the to the part in the story that starts with 'a club insider said' or 'a source close to the club' because its just utter bullshit surely ? anyone can make a story up about anything and say a club insider said or a source blah blah blah, do the pricks reporting this shit have to provide their so called source to the higher ups ? or can they just make it up ? it happens so often in these sport stories it just irritates the hell out of me.

So now Walter Smith has turned down the Wolves job. Nobody wants it and I don't blame them. The club is being made to look rather pathetic, clueless and inept. In a weird way I am finding it quite hilarious . Yet its a sad indictment on Morgan and the way the club has been sold down the river over the last 8 months . Abject and pitiful.

Normally stories like that are just pure speculation. 2 + 2 = 5 and all that. Reporters look for stories and manipulate, cut and paste and twist words said, actual events into "Stories" which Joe Public will read and think gospel.

The Ashley Cole thing, I heard on the radio, it was TalkShite so how much truth is in it I don't know, but AVB had a team meeting before the game and asked opinions etc... Cole then told him "I came to Chelsea to win medals and I won't win anything with you in charge"
AVB then dropped Cole to the bench and played Bosingwa at LB instead.

Fortunately there is no truth in the story at all, but everyone in the media is looking for Chelsea stories at the moment, so expect more of the same after every game that Chelsea don't win. For the record, Cole had missed the previous game through injury and was a big doubt for the Napoli game, but did train the day before and therefore would have been selected by most managers. But AVB is cautious to say the least with players that might not be 100% - this has been demonstrated numerous times - and he decided to only put Cole on the bench. But as Graeme Souness said, "surely a 90% fit Ashley Cole is a better bet than a 100% fit Bosingwa".
