What makes this even worse than it already is/was is that Rachel Reeves said this too in an interview as she attempted to defend the benefit/welfare cuts!!!

Not according to Darren Jones on Question Time last night, after Fiona Bruce pointed out the impact assesment saying 50,000 more children would be pushed into poverty. Saying child poverty won't be going up under this government

They'll get around it by fudging the numbers or trying to change the definition of poverty, our government has form for that bullshit.

I bet if every one of Starmer's cabinet took a lie detector test about it, they'd all fail.
