watched the final ever ep for smallville and its one of best endings of a tv series. i am now watching the new adventures of superman with dean cain and teri hatcher. the cgi looks bad compared to smallville but back in 1993 it was state of the art. its the only superman story to have lex luthor with hair as an adult.

in the new adventures of superman in the pilot clark walked up the wall i wonder if smallvile clark could do that also in the new adventures of superman clark as travelled the world before ending up in metropolis.

I totally agree with the final ep being one of the best endings of a the series i also thought that season finale of season 9: Salvation with Clark vs Zod was another big fav of mine, the season finale of season 6: Phantom with Clark vs Bizzaro Clark and i liked the twist ending in the season Ep Gemini won't spoil the ending there but i didn't see that one coming lol. For the me i preferred Smallville when it got darker towards the latter seasons it gave it that gritty edge which with never seen in superman which the problem i have with Superman now is that his a little too perfect and cozy. I liked the idea that he didn't know what he was to become and made him feel more human even tho he wasn't born on earth and that over time and hardship he accepts his destiny in becoming the Man Of Steel. I thought Lois and Clark was alright but way preferred Smallville, yeah was Superman in through out the whole series but its like he didn't really get fight any proper villains aside from Lex Luthor and New Krypton storyline. He didn't show case his powers as much as i would have liked and of course the show was more about the relationship between Lois and Clark. From what i've heard Superman: Man Of Steel is gonna be lot more darker and gritty edge to it the normal superman films, sound familiar lol .

season 10 even though it had some darker nasty eps it still had the light of season 1-4 it was probably due to the writers having clark accepting his destiny of becoming earths greatest hero. the best fight scene was at the end of salvation (season 9) it was like the matrix with out cgi. chloe sullivan going all morpheous in collatoral (season 10) was good. having a saw/seven inspired ep where those that just got engaged got kidnapped. also liked how they got margot kidder, annette o'toole, christopher reeve, dean cain and teri hatcher making cameo, like teri hatcher playing lois lane's(durance) mother, dean cain as curtis knox.

the only let down, very minor, was that when clark/superman pushing the planet out of the earths atmosphere in to deep space it was digital make over of superman returns ending where superman removes the kryponite island of the ocean and leaves in deep space and welling's face digitally masked onto routh's face.

the portral of comic book heroes are left open to interpretation. i quite liked superman returns it done have with abit more action in it thats all. in the man of steel they have lawrence fishbourne playing perry white and he will be the first black actor in a live action film/tv series to play perry white. they had alot of leeway with smallvile has there is no origin story as such but has the series went they had to use some of the original source material in order to get the point where clark kent became superman. i dont think batman origin tv series would have worked but a batman tv series with bruce wayne already as batman would work because you could introduce other characters over the series from the dc series and adding more to the batman story.

The Scene from the Smallville Finale and Superman Returns was not the same footage, they only use the same idea for example throwing the planets out there obits and they both do the same thing with saving the plane's, Smallville with Air Force plane and Superman Returns with plane and shuttle on top just don't very differently. Here i have posted from left to right the first two are from the Superman Returns Pics and the last two from the Smallville Finale taken from Blu ray. The Brandon Routh ones you only see a long distance of him those two shoots, its either a close up of him from the torso up, his face or close up of his eyes. The Smallville one's you see Superman/Tom Welling from a distance with its CGI (reasons as to why its CGI i have explained early parts of thread and then you close of him in the suit. As you can see from pics same idea different shots which i think were done on propose to try and mirror the films as what they did with the Superman theme at the end, its like in season 10 the ep Homecoming Past Clark Saves Future Lois from the helicopter and where did they get the idea of that from the first Superman film when superman catches Lois and helicopter . Sorry for the small shots best i could do the file sizes were too big lol

One of fav lines is from season 4 of Smallville the Ep called Run where Clark finds Bart after stealing Clarks fathers wallet and Clark turns round to Bart Allen and says "Jay Garrick, Barry Allen, Wally West, what ever your name is" lol a little nod to the previous Flash's from DC Comic'a lol

Smallville Season 11 is now out to buy in print form.

I have never read a comic in my life but got smallville ' Guardian'
today (online copy) and it finished with 'to be continued' it was only
22 pages is that right? I really have no clue about comics
