So those were not EU insignias on those armoured vehicles? they were certainly not the french tri colour

oh ffs are you really that stupid? We have UN insignia on our vehicles at times. They were French troops in French vehicles under the command of French officers and there because the French Government ordered them. Stop this nonsense and stick to the facts which I know you are capable of articulating.

It is plainly obvious that an EU supporter and a staunch Brexiteer are never going to get along or agree on anything so it might be best if we just ignore each other posts.

Look I actually enjoy reading your posts - many of which articulate a view that I don’t agree with but I believe that in a civilised society we should all be capable of taking notice of. I draw the line at falsehoods masquerading as facts. We actually agree on the case for an EU Army - neither of us want or see the need for one. Where we differ is your view that they would be used to put down the people. When we leave the EU it’s no longer our issue.

Of course it was not the EU army, it was the french military they just happened to put the wrong insignia on their vehicles, just like the nazis at the battle of the bulge. Or perhaps they were just going incognito...as you do.

Still as Macron has surrendered will have to wait and find out.

Mrs May will be Meeting Mrs Merkel amongst other EU leaders after yesterday's climbdown and delaying the vote - The EU chief negotiator Michel Bernier has already stated there is no room for any fresh concessions or re -negotiation.

This is where she will find out who her best EU friends really are, but I have to say she is more lame duck than Trump is and I think even if she could get any concessions on the Irish backstop problem I don't think it will make her deal look any better than it does now, and she is to me, now only delaying the inevitable - a heavy Commons defeat leading to a no confidence vote in her inept Government and a General Election. Nort only that we should all now accept that we are crashing of out of the EU on March 29th 2019 with no deal, as our only real option and we should have walked away from the negotiation table the minute the Irish backstop was raised.
