RE: Movies/Tv - Facts and Trivia
Apologies if this has been here before- American hit comedy sitcom Happy Days has had three spin-offs. Laverne & Shirley, friends of the Fonz, who worked in a bottling factory. Joanie Loves Chachi, about the youngest of the Cunningham children who falls for the Fonz's nephew/cousin?, but the most famous was one that stemmed from a dream sequence that occured in the original series, where a strange alien visited Millwaukee-that was Mork and of course that spun off to the highly successful Mork and Mindy starring the then unknown comic performer, Robin Williams. There was also a Hanna-Barbera series of cartoons called Fonz and the Happy Days Gang, featuring the voices of Ron Howard(Richie Cunningham) Donnie Most(Ralph Malph), Henry Winkler(Fonz) and Didi Conn(Cupcake, the ditzy alien who whisks the gang away into the past on a series of misadventures. The Fonz is given a rather stupid dog called Mr Cool.

RE: Movies/Tv - Facts and Trivia
It's well documented that the author of the James Bond stories Ian Fleming wasn't too keen on Sean Connery playing the British secret agent but he also had a falling out with a renowned Brutalist-style architect(that's where the building is grey and drab-looking and has very sharp edges in its design, making it look cold and uninviting like a tower block he built in South London) and it was this that inspired Fleming's main villain for the Bond film that came after From Russia With Love. The name of the architect was Erno, but it was his surname that was used for the film title and name of the villain; that surname was GOLDFINGER and Erno was changed to Auric(meaning gold as Goldfinger was in love with the stuff)

RE: Movies/Tv - Facts and Trivia
When the strangely-named Nicolas Winding Refn appeared on BBC Breakfast a few years ago to promote his film Drive he said the F-word twice which is a definite no-no at that time of the morning. The presenters, one of which was Bill Turnbull apologised for the language but Refn didn't, and then couldn't understand why he couldn't talk about that subject-someone obviously didn't get the memo!

RE: Movies/Tv - Facts and Trivia
Cast your minds back a fair few years ago to a series of Barclaycard adverts starring Rowan Atkinson as a bumbling British secret agent. I always thought it would make a great series with that character but it would turn up much later reincarnated in a series of films and the name changed to JOHNNY ENGLISH. Oh, and his name in the adverts was Bernard Latham.
In the new Johnny English Strikes Again film Atkinson is seen behind the wheel of a bright-red Aston Martin Vantage(beautiful car); this was his own car, as he has had a number of Astons over the years and indeed raced them.

RE: Movies/Tv - Facts and Trivia
Stephen Fry has been cited by the Oxford English Dictionary (OED) as the person who first coined the word 'luvvie'; he was unaware of this until on his show Q.I. for the letter F, for Film in this case, his fellow Cambridge footlight friend, Emma Thompson revealed it was him.
