Chatroom / Shoutbox

Begining to think that a shoutbox or chatroom would be quite useful..

It doesn't look like much more people are going to vote in this poll so the results now are pretty much final.I voted for shoutbox because I think that would be much better than a chatroom.With a chatromm you would have to view it on a separate page and most people probably wouldn't want to bother,whereas the shoutbox would be on top of the main forum page which is much more convenient.

Exactly headless and there would be quite a lot of hating and attacks in real time with a chatroom

I think a chatroom or something similar might be a good idea although I might not use it myself much.
A lot of people just seem to be carrying on conversations between themselves in the normal threads which are growing all the time. More valuable posted content such as pics, videos and links to other good stuff is being pushed lower down in the threads and perhaps not seen by people who might be interested in such stuff.
Perhaps posts with "content" could somehow be separated from posts with just thankyous, comments, opinions etc.
Maybe there is no solution to the problem which will become worse as more members join and the size and number of threads grows.
Any ideas anyone?

I'm now firmly in favour of both. (originally i said neither)
Too much chattering now going on which detracts from the thread titles.
One thread i came across is now nearly 60 pages (in a week) of mainly off topic stuff not really relating to 'other channels'

I have contributed to this thread but cannot keep track of it as it's continually spiralling out of control
Doesn't create a good impression for newbies, should be confined at least to 'Other Subjects'.
If more moderators are not brought in then a chatroom or shoutbox is essential.
Admin, would be good to hear your views and how we can all pull together and combat this, and keep the forum pleasing on the eye to potential newcomers.
