RE: Are Queen the greatest band of all time
When you look at the way Freddie Mercury addressed the audience he was the first of it's kind, Queen interestingly also survived the glam rock and punk era in which a lot of bands just didn't but Queen were different, because their music was so versatile down to the fact that all 4 members wrote the songs all in very different styles Queen were never in any danger of being a flash in a pan, they were allways able to adapt and move with the times aswell as still keep the unique Queen sound, without Queen the world would not have acts such as Lady GaGa, like her or loathe her she does have a sort of Mercury presence about her when she goes onstage. Another factor is after Queen's last ever tour in 1986 Freddie could have easily gone into hiding when the aids virus begun to destroy him but he didn't he continued on until the bitter end and this was done out of respect for the fans. The days of our lives video shot in June 1991 is Freddie bidding farewell to the fans so to show that level of courage at a time when he could barely stand, weighed about 5 stone and was going blind at the time is testament to the man and the unique mental aswell as physical strength he showed at the time. This alone to me makes Queen the world greatest band, nobody cared more about the fans than Queen did.

Yes, without doubt they are
I was at Maine Rd Manchester in 86, and they were awesome, I was at Wembley in 92 for the tribute concert, and have seen Brian, and Roger do their solo shows a number of times. I saw them perform with Paul rodgers a few times too.

I'd love to see your 77 Bo Rhap on purple vinyl, especially if it still has the crystal goblets too!
I have original release copies of every main UK release on LP, and all the mainstream 7" and 12" Uk singles. I have all the picture discs too, all except that elusive 7" of purple plastic (and no, I'm not talking about Vicki Peach's dildo, although it would be nice to see that too!"
