Really? UEFA says we're the biggest club in England. You're not even on the list.

That's being a little 'generous' with the truth.
That list is from the Uefa Team Ranking, which uses the Club Coefficient.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UEFA_coefficient
In brief, it uses a formula to rank teams based on their Champions League and Eurpoa League performance for the previous five years. This ranking is used to provide the seedings for the next competition.
That particular list is the number of five year periods each club has been the top ranked club. Leeds were ranked top in the periods 1966-70, 1967-71 and 1968-72, a total of 3 times (obviously an amended formula is used for this period as there was a cup competition not a league).
That ranks Leeds joint fifth, with Liverpool joint 9th, and Chelsea and Man Utd joint 11th.
However, given the wide range of time period the table refers to and the different competitions, it isn't really very meaningful, and certainly isn't indicative of Leeds being the 'biggest club in England' in the present day.
Nice try though

In my opinion it just gives haters and trolls another chance to throw insults around - I think there's already too much insulting posts being made in the banter thread - the excessive hating is dragging the forum down for me.
Nah, it's people who take everything so seriously that do that to forums. You can either get a sense of humour or not click on the thread instead of posting in it and moaning about fuck all.
Normal people can have a laugh in a thread like this. If stuff like this gets censored then there really is no laughs to be had on this forum which would seemingly suit you just fine.

Mmm... yes, "hate" i think is the wrong word as nobody actually knows the fella. However, in football terms, i do "hate" (voted accordingly) him.
Because i agree with what The Truth says in that he does have too much sway, does berate officials ridiculously and has done over so long, and this together with being successful, is why officials/FA dare not cross him (as such).
Only blinkered Man U "fans" don't see this, or do, but refuse to admit it.
And although he has surpassed Liverpool's 18 league titles, what he really wants is to surpass their 5 European Cups (and in turn own their own cup). Only then, will he /Man U be deemed the most successful English club.
Fortunately, this will never happen.

RE: The I Hate Alex Ferguson Thread!!!!
I have a lot of respect for Alex Ferguson and I feel compelled to stick up for him. First up not a lot of people know this but St Mirren are the only club to have ever sacked him. This happened in 1978 but did it knock Fergie down, did it fuck, he got back up, dusted himself down and become manager of Aberdeen the same year.
Alex Ferguson totally transformed the fortunes of Aberdeen turning them into a credible team and force within the Scottish game aswell as being a team that was feared throughout Europe. May I also say that he did all this working on a shoestring budget winning the league championship at Aberdeen on 3 separate occasions, aswell as winning the European Cup Winners cup and also the Scottish cup a couple of times too.
Aberdeen alongside Dundee United were nicknamed the New Firm as they would both knock the giants of Glasgow down numerious times leaving with their tails behind their legs on many an occasion.
A lot of people say fergie is only successful because of the amount of money he has at his disposal but his time in charge of Aberdeen blows that theory totally away to fuck. Fergie also came within 90 minutes of the sack back in 1990 after a horrendous season that had seen Man United almost suffer the fate of relegation.
Fergie survived all of this culminating in his greatest ever achievement winning the Champions League in 1998 after a dramatic finish to the game. Credit where credit is due. You can hate Man Utd but Fergie is a legend, arguably ther greatest Scottish manager of alltime. I rest my case.
