Just finished Louis Theroux's The Call of the Weird - a fantastic read for fans of the man himself and/or his Weird Weekend series. I know it's cliched, but he really does write like he talks.

I'm now reading Hunter S Thomson's Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas - I know it's considered a classic, but I'm already finding it's manic style a little tiresome and I'm only up to chapter 4. I shall persevere, though.

Just finished "The second book of general ignorance"
by the QI team (as on BBC2)

Finished The Backpacker,truly excellent read,one of the best books i have ever read,true stories are always the most riveting,highly recommended





Going to start reading another true story called Marching Powder,about a guy that becomes an influential figure in a ritzy bolivian prison

Empire Of Silver fourth book in a series about genghis khan and his sons. Slaughterin eveyone in sight great owl read.

Marching Powder is quite a harrowing read but also quite an unbelievable story,i am now going to re-read another spectacular true story about how WCW fell on it's arse cause of poor decisions and the wrestlers' big egos,excellent read

Bump - A third of the way through Night Train To Lisbon by Pascal Mercier, quite a philosophical read as a staid ancient languages teacher rediscovers the time of the 1970s Portuguese Revolution & at the same time,himself

The Jaws Log by Carl Gottlieb.

A wonderful account about the troubled production of the film Jaws.Essential for fans of the film.
