Politicians are fair game for satire, ordinary voters aren't.

Sadly that is not true.

Ladbrokes and Coral are both offering a No Deal Brexit at 2/1.

Paddy Power have it less likely than that, but are still only offering 13/5.

There will be not be a no deal

there are 39 billion reasons why the EU will come to some arrangement

There was a report the other day from the irish goverment on a no deal bascially said 4/5 of irish exports either go to the UK of thru the uk via the ports and that would cripple the irish economy so much that the EU would have to bail them out !!

they will try and blag it right up to the wire and then come to a deal on the 10pm 29th of march Tongue Tongue

Its that whooshing sound again.

The video satirises establishment remainers like Matthew Parris and A.C. Grayling who think that the 17.4 million Brexiteers are idiots and should be ignored.

RE: Europe, Referendum & Brexit (formerly Europe..IN or OUT??)
No side will come out well in a No-Deal Brexit particularly with Italy now confirmed to be in recession,Germany on the brink but may just avoid one,France with one of the most sluggish economies in the EU.And as Hannahpets mentioned Ireland's trade heavily relies on the UK & if a No-Deal Brexit happen's Ireland will unfortunately be one of the worst countries hit.I've just watched a report on Sky News where they claim Belgium's economy will be massively hit in a No-Deal scenario where over 50% of their fishing quota's caught in UK waters. So when I see the likes of Macron,Merkel talking about UK suffering for rejecting the Withdrawal Deal & leaving the EU these two are only deflecting attention from the crisis'es they are both facing in their own countries where they are both on the fag-end of their time in office.

The way the parliamentary votes played out on Tuesday with the seven amendments suggests the window of opportunity for a 2nd Ref is almost closed (not fully closed) but on the same token no majority for a No-Deal Brexit either.Compromise on both UK & EU sides is key for progress on a Withdrawal Deal that will pass the Common's but I do despair when I listen to MP's like Sarah Woollaston,Phillip Lee,Sam Gyimah, Liz Kendall,Anna Soubry,David Lammy, etc when they insist a 2nd Ref is the only solution to solve Brexit. It isn't a solution at all when all it does is provide uncertainty for another 4-12 months with the very real prospect that Leave vote could win again & we'll be in the same predicament like we are in now.Whilst there may be 10-20 Tory rebels that may back a 2nd Ref there are between 60-80 Labour MP's that would flatly reject one even if Corbyn & the Labour party back one.

The Government has been a shambles in negotiations but I'm completely mystified by the EU negotiator's as well.EU have always claimed the the Withdrawal Deal is the best deal on offer & prior to the Common's vote in January Juncker & Barnier admitted that the Backstop need never be implemented as the transition could be extended instead.Plus it clearly says in text that a Backstop isn't required if alternative solutions (infrastructure etc) is available. The Withdrawal Deal got roundly rejected in the Common's & would never get through in it's current guise but when Brady's Amendment that suggested alterations to the Backstop passed the vote surely it isn't rocket-science for the EU to see that the Backstop is the problem where the UK can not legally exit without consent from the EU.And when Barnier & Irish PM Varadkar mentioned about implementing a Hard Border within hours they quickly denounced the idea. The truth is I can see that the EU using the Backstop to keep the UK in the Customs Union.

The two possible scenario's I can envisage happening regarding progress is either the Withdrawal Deal with tweaks to the Backstop (an exit date etc) or the UK ending up in the Customs Union.

Well it depends how much business the EU think they'll be able to suck out of the UK after no-deal. Barclays are moving £160billion worth of assets to Dublin in anticipation of no-deal.
If others follow suit, the EU might decide £39billion is a price worth paying.

RE: Europe, Referendum & Brexit (formerly Europe..IN or OUT??)
The Information Commissioner's Office has issued fines totaling £120,000 to the Leave.EU referendum campaign and an insurance company linked to it for serious breaches of electronic marketing law

This resulted in Leave.EU using Eldon Insurance customers’ details unlawfully to send almost 300,000 political marketing messages.

Eldon Insurance carried out two unlawful direct marketing campaigns. The campaigns involved the sending of over one million emails to Leave.EU subscribers without sufficient consent

No surprises that this is the Aaron Banks insurance company and his illegal practices which he used to help win the referendum
