According to Harry Redknapp, everything was agreed with Liverpool and he was optimistic about doing the deal. Borini was happy to join QPR providing that they met his wage demands, which unfortunately Redknapp said QPR couldn't meet or even get close to, and the deal therefore collapsed. He emphasised that it was purely a matter of money - if QPR had agreed to the financial terms that Borini was asking for he would have signed for them.

Wish he'd leave, he's not doing us any good, he's not good enough, simple.

RE: Liverpool FC
From the Liverpool Echo

Liverpool FC were frustrated in their attempts to sell Fabio Borini on deadline day. The Reds granted permission for Borini to discuss personal terms with QPR after agreeing a deal worth £13million. However, the 23-year-old frontman priced himself out of a move to Loftus Road by demanding £90,000 per week. QPR were only prepared to offer around £55,000 per week and with Borini unwilling to budge the deal collapsed.

Brendan Rodgers had warned Borini that his opportunities would be severely limited at Anfield if he didn’t move on prior to the deadline. “For him, it’s best to move on and get playing regularly. But that’s something he has to decide.” By staying put, Borini, who has scored two goals in 20 appearances for Liverpool, has accepted life as the club’s fourth choice striker behind Daniel Sturridge, Mario Balotelli and Rickie Lambert.

RE: Liverpool FC
It seems like he wanted to stay and fight for his place so deliberately priced himself out of the move .

I'm not sure what your motive is for copying it here, but they have just been having a big laugh about that tweet on TalkSport.

Basically he wants to sit on the bench picking up a bigger wage than he'd get elsewhere

Thing is Brendan Rogers does not wan't him anymore, there is no real place for him now, he's not going to get a game. Saying that I would rather have him than Lambert on the Bench
