Batwoman Ep 14 “Grinning From Ear To Ear” Season 1.

The reference to a certain Batman villain.

As Financial Domination continues to grow, less enthusiasm is required when putting on a show.

The Trip to Greece, pt 1
Coogan & Brydon back again. They started in Turkey, famous for not being in Greece, and finally arrived in the right country on a ferry at the end, where they sang some Rod Stewart to commemorate.

Talking Pictures talks to Stephanie Beacham
Jenny Hanley asks the questions. Beacham talks about working with Edward Woodward, Peter Cushing, Joan Collins, Ava Gardner and others. She also does impressions of some of them which aren't at all bad.

Air Warriors - P-38 Lightning 2019 Smithsonian Channel

This series of 45-minute documentaries look at important military aircraft.

The Lightning is generally regarded as the only successful twin engined dogfighter of WWII.
The USAAF wanted a fighter which could match the Spitfire and Me 109 for speed but the American engines were not good enough to power a single engine aircraft for this specification and so Lockheed came up with the P-38 and it is thought to be the first production fighter to fly at 400mph.
Although used successfully in the European theatre as a fighter bomber and for reconnaissance it couldn't match the best German fighters for agility and its greatest successes were achieved in the pacific theatre where it was superior to its Japanese opponents.
The top american air ace of all time was Richard Bong who achieved all forty kills in the P-38 and it was the only fighter aircraft with the range for the mission to intercept the planes carrying and escorting the Japanese Navy Commander Admiral Yamamoto whose death was a massive blow to Japanese morale in 1943.

I don't know that I really watch the Smithsonian channel, but like PBS America, it at least seems to offer fresh and thoughtful programming, unlike ITV2 for example.

Age of the Image, pt 1 of 4
Dr James Fox reveals the importance of Buster Keaton and Albert Einstein to the history of photography, and explains how the selfie is more than a century old, and slow motion was invented in the 1930s.
