Lets hope Zola gets more respect from Watford than he did at West Ham

RE: Football League: Discussion
I think the West Ham fans regret the grief they gave him once he was replaced with Avram Grant. Sometimes the grass ain't always greener.
Zola didn't do a bad job at West Ham, and it was on a tight budget. It will be interesting to see how he gets on at Watford (assuming he gets the job of course) and to see what backing he receives from the owners.
Watford have IMO one of the best youth set ups going and have produced some decent talent over the years. Zola has experience with younger players after his stint with the Italy under 21's so given time he could build a decent side with youth and experience.

Graham Westley, or as he is known rather affectionately at the Rec, Wanker, always did have his own way of doing things...

Dean Holdsworth is being heavily linked to the vacant job at Crawley. I really really hope it isn't true. I personally can't see it as he has talked about building a bright future here and he has 100% control and backing.

I have a sneaky feeling it'll be Garath Southgate that get's the job, as he is from that way, he "left" his position at the FA for "unspecified reasons" and I think he'd like another go at management. He is currently 16-1 to get the job with BetVictor. Might be worth a punt.

To split hairs, he's actually from Watford, though he did live in Crawley for quite a while. I can only assume he's being linked to the job because of Steve Coppell being there as DoF.
I suppose I should point out, for the benefit of the younger generation, that Gareth started his career at Palace while Coppell was the boss. God I feel old saying that Wink

It was the Coppell factor that I hoped would mean Southgate rather then Holdsworth. However Coppell was watching in the stands at our game Friday evening... I thought at first it was to cast an eye over the Worta Poznan chairperson

however the odds on Deano keep being cut, and I'm started to worry Huh

Si - yes I remember a young Southgate at Palace, mainly because I still remember Roy Keane sticking his nut on him Big Grin

Fuck you Crawley. Money can't buy you everything Big Grin (though I suspect that it's running out now TBH)
