RE: Football Banter
Groundnpound - I can understand your frustration, and knowing a lot of Chelsea fans I can assure you they were as embarrassed and disgusted as Phoenix and those people who disrespected the silence really are the minority. The banter stops when it comes to the tragedy's in football, i.e Hillsborough, Munich, Istanbul, Heysel. End of.
I just think holding a grudge against a football club and it's real fans for the actions of a very few idiots who probably don't even support their team (support as you and I would know it, I disregard "hooligans" as real football fans) breeds negativity and inevitably ends up nasty.
I've asked a few Chelsea fans what that was all about and although they don't condone it for a second and were all appalled, it allegedly stems from comments made from a previous chairman of Liverpool, John Smith. My history on Liverpool is obviously uneducated, but he allegedly came out after Heysel and blamed it on Chelsea fans.
I know this is getting on to dodgy grounds, but it is the same that a minority of both United and Liverpool fans sing disgusting songs about the tragedies. Like wise Leeds fans suffer chants from minority supporters about Turkey. It is just prize pricks disgracing themselves, whilst embarrassing their colours and fellow supporters. In my eyes those sort of people aren't football fans, they are scum and frankly beneath me.
All I'm saying GnP is breeding negativity on the terraces because of the actions of a very few won't do no good. Don't let the scum fucks drive you bitter. They ain't even proper football fans, and like I say, they're beneath you.

I don't hold any grudges against Chelsea or the proper Chelsea football fans Money Shot, i've made that crystal, only the people responsible, my head's well screwed on.
What happened the other week will never be forgotten by us though and rightly so. They've chanted "murderers" for years, but the timing and stage it was on for everyone in the world to see, was what shocked, hurt and angered everyone. We had just finished with the Hillsborough memorial and looking forward to the 2nd semi, to see who we got in the final.Turn the telly on just in time for the silence and we got that.
Hooligans or not, they're human beings. Would 1 minute of silence have been too much to ask? 1 minute. You'll see how much it's got to us by the banners and flags we take to London next weekend, we'll show the country how we feel.

I personally think Pep Guardiola is perfect for the Arsenal job when Arsene Wenger finally leaves Arsenal. I also think Di Matteo should get the Chelsea job, he's earned the right to have a crack at it
But in his statement put out by Barca, Pep said he wanted to take time away from football. If that is the case, would Barca
now raid Chelski for Di Matteo after the CL final? and if so, it would leave the door open for 'Special One' to return to Chelski, even if he said he didn't want to return the the Premier League, I doubt he would be interested in the Barcelona post.
and is JT realy allowed to lift the CL trophy if Chelski win?
And there's no handshake between JT and Ferdinand when QPR - Chelski clash this weekend.
