This following is a fine article that attempts to balance much government rhetoric on the subject of their new the inquiry into "whether the balance in the burden of criminality should shift to those who pay for sex rather than those who sell it."

Interesting.
Seems like they are punishing men in general, which I think is the wrong way to go about it. Sex is natural, and as long as women aren't being forced into escorting (I know there are many who are in fact forced, which is disgusting and an obvious crime), then I believe people should be able to do as they please. Bringing criminal action against those who pay for sex, will only make those people find a new way to go about it. Sex for money is something that will likely never end, not in my lifetime at least. It's just how the world is.
It's a crazy thing money. It corrupts, yet it's essential for survival. It all comes down to money, because that's where the incentive is.

completely agree, I think it's wrong to punish just men as well. I personally think that prostitution will never go away no matter how it is criminalised, so for me it should be legalised and everyone that wants to work in prostitution/escorting can have a safe environment to work in and the government can also get income from it. think prostitution is potentially worth hundreds if not billions of pounds in uk
