Everyone will take their own interpretation from this but one thing that is very true is that the country is every bit as polarised as it was in the 2016 referendum

In Nigel Farage's South East if you add up the clear pro-remain second referendum votes of The Lib Dems, Greens & Change UK they surpass the votes of the clear No Deal Brexit of the Brexit party

The BBC political guru Sir John Curtice, who's exit poll correctly predicted the 2017 GE, has called the remain v leave vote a virtual draw at 50% each

With 80% counted so far:

Remain Parties: 40.3 %
Hard Brexit Parties: 34.9%
Conservatives & Labour: 23.2%

The Remains will claim a mandate, The Hard Brexiteers will claim a mandate but the two parties that have the power to deliver Brexit have no mandate at all

The Brexit Party may have won this election, but If that had been a GE, that vote share doesn't really put any Brexit MP's into the HOC does it? but would very much play into Corbyn's hands which is a terrifying thought.
